I was cleaning out my nail polish collection the other day and decided to try something I had seen on Splitcoast Stampers. I used my old nail polish to make a marble type background on Whisper White Cardstock (#100730).
Next you slowly pour your selected nail polish colors onto the water.
When you have your colors added take a coffee stir stick and gently swirl the colors to make a marbled background.
Carefully place your card stock down on top of the nail polish and gently dab the paper so that the polish covers the card stock.
I used a pair of tweezers to lift the card stock from the nail polish/water mixture and set it aside to dry.
When the paper was totally dry (overnight) I stamped with a StazOn Jet Black Ink Pad (#101406) using the Beautiful You Stamp Set or #143004 for wood mount or #143637 for clear mount).
Finally I used a piece of Powder Pink Cardstock (#144244) and stamped the same images from the Beautiful You Stamp Set. Then I carefully cut out the nail polish colored hat, umbrella and dress with my Paper Snips (#103579) and adhered them with Snail adhesive (#104332) to the Powder Pink images.
