This is the second technique that I used to make the swaps for Hartford, CT. All jewelry findings and glue for the jewelry comes from www.craftfantastic.com as well as great videos on how to complete the project.
To begin I inked up the floral embossing folder from the Petal Pair Textured Impressions Embossing Folders (#145656) with a VersaMark Pad (#102283). This embossing folder is one of two 6-1/2" by 2-1/4" folders in the set. Be sure to apply the VersaMark Pad to the inside of the folder on the side that says Stampin'Up and Sizzix. See the photo below.
I used Whisper White Cardstock (#100730) and ran the inked folder through the Big Shot Die-cutting Machine (#143263). Next I put Stampin' Emboss Powder in Gold (#133457) all over the paper. Tap off the excess powder and heat set it using the Heat Tool (#129053). Finally I colored the images using the Stampin' Blends. See the next photo for item numbers and colors that are available. When you are coloring on the dry embossing use the side of you markers so you do not ruin the tips of the markers.
Your piece will now look like this:
Use the glue recommended on the website I mentioned above to attach the cabochons to the paper and allow to dry.
Once dry, use your Paper Snips (#103579) to trim around the cabochons. Simply watch the video from www.craftfantastic.com to complete your pieces.
