I saw these Orb Tree Decorations on a video on Youtube and decided to give it a try. The ornaments can be filled with candy and hung on a tree. I am going to use these for table decorations on Christmas Eve.
These ornaments look very difficult to make, however, they are really quite easy to do. If you want to learn how to do them just go to Youtube and search for Orb Tree Ornaments.
I have used Real Red Cardstock (#102482) and Garden Green Cardstock (#102584) for my ornaments. I punched 1" squares of Christmas Around The World Cardstock Pack (#144630) and Be Merry Designer Series Paper (#144111) using a retired one inch square punch. If you do not have this retired punch you can use the Stampin' Trimmer (#126889) to cut the squares. This is a great way to use small scraps of Designer Series Paper. The ribbon used to hang the ornament is from the Holiday Catalog and is called Quilted Christmas Ribbon (#144620). It is a Whisper White ribbon with Garden Green and Real Red stripes in it. I used the Simply Scored Scoring Tool (#122334) to construct the ornament.
When open the orb looks like this:
